Default Thoughts on this car?

Came across it when looking. I feel like it's wildly overpriced. Couldn't get any compression info, car fax has reports of possible front end damage (no matching vins on front end body panels). Dealer definitely seems predatory and out of there mind.

Values seem to be climbing, but that is pretty high for that year and mileage with a crash on its record.

Asking prices for the more rare colours get stupid sometimes. Much better ones with considerably less miles are out there. Looks a like red interior in this one, not black.

Most of the time when you have an aftermarket bumper on a car it's been in a crash that someone has fixed themselves to save them from getting a salvage title. I think this is very common when people just flip them to deal-ships as most people won't inspect or go under the car when you are doing a trade in ect.
Some will find it after or just not disclose it; just saying. The same can be same for Private owners just make sure to get under the car and ensure all is well

But with those miles at that price it's very high.

Okay I'm glad I'm not crazy. Dude was completely betting on the color combo, and considering I'd have to ship it I told him no way. He's adamant that the "right person is going to come along." I guess s2k owners in cali are a different breed.

The problem is that blue book on the car is around $10k-$12k most likely (depends on overall shape of the car). So someone will have to be willing to fork out well over BB for it meaning out of pocket cash for sure on top of any loan if they are getting a loan on it. And for a car with that mileage and at least one non OEM part he is waiting for someone willing to make a bad choice on buying it. But that person will likely come along. I guess if anything those people help drive our cars values up :P

There are a few better GPW options nationwide depending on what exactly you're looking for.

Car has been either debadged or there are a lot of replacement body panels. Either is a turn-off for me at this price point. All red interior would give me a headache.

Plus the car is 2300 miles away so there's the delivery expense.

You can do better. Plenty of time until next April when the weather breaks.
