I took my S in today to get new headlamp units. They promised to keep the car inside tonight and drove it to the rear of the shop.

While waiting for my ride one of the Service Writers came out and got me and said I needed to see my car. There seems to have been an accident and they wanted me to know before I let.

The person that took my car back parked it behind an other car. The service tech in the other car didn't see mine (it is a pretty demurr color and hard to see) and backed into the door.

Surprisingly I was pretty cool about it. If the car had been newer I would have hit the ceiling but hey accidents happen. Better that it happened to them then me.

They promised to fixed it to my satisfaction plus fix another ding on the other side.

The pictures aren't great but that was not the selling factor of the iPhone.

You have the right attitude: accidents happen. They owned up to it, and I'm sure they will repair it to your satisfaction. Life's too short to sweat the little things.

 

Ya it is just a car. Now if it was new I would feel different. The poor tech felt like hell knowing how we all feel about our cars.

Man, David. Your luck isn't running all that well at the moment. Sorry to hear about this! I must say you are being way calmer than I would be.

I'd have had an above retail trade in and a below invoice price on an '09 Laguna out of them by now!

Kinda sucks Dave but good to hear that Matia was stand-up about it. I bought the Odessey there and had it serviced a few times and have no complaints. But I don't know if I would be as collected as you if mine S got digned up. I know its just a car but each new stone chip pains me. BTW, did I miss the final verdict on the headlights?

 

The new headlights were to be installed tomorrow. Now I have to wait for the body show to do their magic.
