Weekend Weather
It's supposed to be sunny and 55. Is anyone going to come out and play? Mine will likely stay under cover UNLESS the rain we are supposed to get Thursday and Friday does a serious washing of the roadways. P.S. My lawn has snow mold in a bad way.

My lawn has the same problem, looks like a bunch of work ! But I will definitely be out attempting to get enough miles for a VTEC shakedown

Not to be off topic but, I need to find a turf specialist. I get this every year. In the summer I get every fungus and insect problem known to mankind. The odd thing is, this is the 1st time I really spent for a high quality lawn. All the other times I used the "cheap" landscaper who didn't even bring in topsoil. He just hydroseeded the clay. No problems. I don't understand it but I'm fed up with "restoring" my lawn every spring. It's natures final slap in my face after 5 months of grueling crappy weather. Do you have any ideas where I can find a turf specialist? And I'm not talking about the yahoos like Tru-Green/Chemlawn.

Well, I visited my favorite turf store today (LESCO) and they said the same thing. They said snow mold was bad this year because the ground didn't get a chance to freeze before it was covered (and remained covered). Furthermore, I put winterizer down on 10/29/02. Having excess nitrogen is a contributor as well. Who the hell knew we would have snow pack from 11/1 on.
. This also explain why my next door neighbor doesn't have this problem since he is on the E-Check fertilizer schedule. By the way, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

got around to the backyard. Backyard looks great, front looks like snow mold heaven

I really like the comment on the "E-Check fertilizer schedule" !
But HEY
how about that rain cleaning off the streets this morning ! If it doesn'tturn to snow, the streets should be pretty clean ! Better pull that cover back guys.
