For those who are coming in from E/NE of Tulsa, I-44 is under construction between the turnpike and I-244 split on the east side of town. Most of the work is being done on the weekends, to avoid the massive delays during the week. I discovered this on my homeward bound trip from Neosho, but fortunately the east bound side was where the 3 hour backup was located. West bound was moving, but slower than the posted 55 limit would allow. There were a dozen state troopers patroling the work zone, which added to the massive disfunction that already plaques that strip of highway. The I-44/193rd W Ave interchange is unofficially reffered to as "Disfunction Junction" by the locals.
I would advise ponying up the money to use the Creek turnpike around Tulsa, to avoid the possibility of sitting on I-44 for a while. It could prove to be money well spent, rather than wasting a couple gallons of liquid gold sitting in bumper to bumper traffic.

I'm going to be at the stroud race tomorrow and was just wanting to know who is going to be there for sure. I'm not racing, just watching but it would still be nice to have a couple more S2K owners out there to talk to.
Cant miss my car... Flat black AP1
Hope to see some of you out and about!

We went to the midnight drags last night and were there until the wee hours of the morning (4am) so I didn't wake up until 11am. I do plan on heading out to Stroud here in a few. I hope it's still going on.
