Did my first jump last weekend!
I had promised my youngest son an Instructor assisted(static line) jump for his 18th birthday. He talked me into doing it as well. We showed up for class Sunday morning and found that we were the only 2 out of 7 that weren't doing an accelerated free fall. So we said what the heck and decided to go AFF as well. So after about 4 hours of class time and alot of practice time we got to jump late in the day.
I was pretty wound up about the jump, but when we got to 10,000 feet everything kicked in. I climbed out, did the pre-jump check, then let it rip. I was absolutely amazing. The free fall was incredible but over way too soon. All of the checks went great and at 5500' I was ready to pull, I guess I didn't get it quick enough so the Instructor on the right pulled for me. The remainder of the flight was great, I played with the turns alot. I'm about 230lbs so they had me on a larger chute that wasn't as responsive as I would have liked, but it was still a gas. They were concerned about how the chute would flair when I landed so they had me flair it really hard. Ended up the chute stalled about 3 feet off the ground and I landed square on my butt.
I'm still completely pumped from the experience. We did the jump at Oklahoma Skydiving Center in Cushing, I would highly recommend them if you are interested in jumping.

Props for you Steve.
I have jumped 7 times.... all before the ripe age of 25.... I gotta tell you, I was as scared of jumping out of a perfectly functional airplane on the first jump and the last jump..... all a great rush.... but I grew up since then
.
Love the video man.... very nicely done. Was that part of the deal or did you have to pay for the premium package?

Cool, I flew on my first plane earlier this month. Scared me to death when we first hit turbulance. The ride back was awesome though. My company paid for first class so i just got ripped to ease the angxiety

The grown up factor made this really tough for me, it would have been alot easier if I were younger. The free fall was OK, the canopy ride was awesome, I would do it again just for the ride.
