don't you want to run a 225/45/17 on the front? 215s and 255s are going to make the car understeer more, and they're going to have different circumferences which is going to throw off the ABS isnt it?

from the RT-615 spec sheet:

255/40R17 revs per mile 825
225/45R17 revs per mile 822
215/45R17 revs per mile 871

umm i havent heard that before with the abs i didnt notice the widths. yes that front tire is too skinny i would bet sounds like some understeer coming. 225s are going to eat fender if the offsets aren't spot on.

That is the stock size for the OEM 17's. Don't think that it will be too bad IMO. Never heard about the ABS issues. I guess I'll find out.

I would be shocked if changing the tire size caused an ABS issue.

People change tire sizes all the time, on many vehicles with no issue. The ABS has absolutely no idea what size tire is on the vehicle. It senses rotation/no rotation and brake pressure.

I ran 205/45/16 Front & 255/40/17 Rear with no ABS issue, a bit understeer though.

Well maybe its fine.

All I know is I asked about running a 245/45/17 on the rear in the Wheel/Tires forum and the guys from Tire Rack started warning me about ABS issues due to the change in circumference from the front to rear. Maybe they're the ones on crack, haha

I'm actually interested in seeing how this turns out now, because I have 4 of the 255 rt615s here in my garage that were meant for my VR4. I think I might just turn them into 2 pairs of rear tires for the S if this combo works out just fine. My fronts are OEM fronts have plenty of tread but rears are toast.

If this doesn't upset the ABS like I've been lead to believe then I'm getting some tires mounted

Plus, with the 255s on the back, it fills the wheel well a little more and gives you almost ONE whole mph per gear (two in 6th! lol)
