Hallett?
There's a HST (HPDE) day at Hallett this weekend.. I'm going to take the Integra out to learn the track on Sunday.
Once I get the track down, I plan on tracking the S2000...
Does anyone else do track days here?

Well that was fun today! Wish there were more of you that tracked their cars on here. IMO the S2k was pretty much made for that...
It was fun in the Teg, but I realized how sucky it is going from Azenis to regular all season tires. But it gave me a good chance to learn the line. There's another event next weekend, if I get the day off work and the weather holds, I'm taking the S.
I also met one S2k guy from Fayetteville, he drove a Silverstone 05 on the track today.

Damn, if I would have seen this thread.
I go to hallett two or three times a year.
PRO-TIP: For those of you with full coverage auto insurance, get Hallett's track schedule. Do the PCA and BMWCCA events. It's the exact same thing as HST, just with really nice cars. Anyways, if you do the "sponsored" events they are known as "driver education" and not "high speed touring" and your auto insurance will fully cover it. If you do the HST and slide off into the tires, you're screwed unless you picked up the expensive track insurance.
I'm going to the BMWSCCA event in July.

I've done Hallett with the Prelude a few months ago, and am interested in trying either in my Si with some good tires, and the CR after a few autocross runs.
I was passing 911's all day at the PCA event...
Here is a youtube of a 2007 911 chasing me...

Do I need to be a member of PCA/ BMWCCA to do their events, or can I just show up at the gate? Are the fees the same?
The PCA events are usually around ~$200 for an entire weekend (5x 20 minute sessions a day!)
Attending the BMWCCA events are not free, you have to join the BMWCCA at like $75 or something (I can't recall of the top of my head) But, you get a good discount on an entire weekend of track!
It usually ends up being about the same cost per "session" as the HST events. However, unlike the HST events these events your insurance covers you and it's a tight group of enthusiasts (bmw or porsche obviously). The crowds are awesome! Last event, I played some cat and mouse with a black 2008 911 "S" that was optioned out from Sharkworks (it's like porsche tuning company). It was FAST, however it was a new car so he wasn't really sure how to drive it (hence, he couldn't get me off his tail!) He came up and shook my hand for keeping up with him in a honda civic lol. He's just cool dentist from SW Arkansas.
