my dad has been driving my S for the past month or so and he just got back with it and there is a ton i mean a ton of black build up around the exhaust and even on the bumper, i noticed this before but he said he thought it was just running way too rich. i dont think its normal either, cause i have ridden with a few people on the board and we more or less drive the same way. any suggestions or ideas on what it could be and a way to rectify it?

 

My S2000 has always done this. I knew a guy when I lived in Austin that was running his S leaner than stock and said that it mostly went away after that.

i had vafc on my old s2k.

 

VAFC2 works.. .I love mine - If I'm not mistaken, Apex'i has a new one out as well.

You just need to stop granny driving an give it a few WOT runs to clean up the carbon build up.!! A VAFC will help and if tuned right you shoulg get some HP gains. With your setup you should get between 205-210whp.
