Wondering what everyone launchs at in their S2000? I haven't actually done this and don't want to kill my car either. I was told that I should launch at around 7k.

Most people I talk to launch at 6k. I actually have never launched my car.

You want enough power to break the wheels loose, so you gotta be in VTEC. Above 7k risks a little more shock to the drivetrain and will spin your wheels so fast it will be hard to gain traction for a quick launch. Anything below VTEC is really risky if you're dropping your clutch, as this puts the most strain on your differential.

I launch at about 800 - 1000 RPMs

i raced a mustang a couple times launching at 6,500 and he got me.
i launched at 7,500 and i got him from the start about 1 car and a half

I only launch at auto-x and i launch around 6.5 and its pretty good.
