mike simon motor up and running
ive had the motor in for a week now and it is running great so far. vtec isnt as pronounced but having 9:1 compression now has alot to do with that, the engine will see 18lbs of boost once i see the motor has acted normally and i adjust the valves after 1500 miles. just for everyone here that doesnt know what i have, here is a quick rundown;
mike simon motor (je- 9:1 pistons. pauter rods, benson iron sleeves)
t60-1 turbo( .62 and .82 turbine housings with stage 3 wheels, will switch to optmize boost curve)
tial 46mm wastegate
greddy type s bov
spark racing manifold and downpipe
rc 720 cc injectors
255lph in tank pump
aem 1:1 boost reference fpr
aem ems
clutchmasters stage 4 copper 4 puck clutch
oil coolers and filter relocation kit
j's racing catback exhaust(will be selling when turbo goes on due to 3 inch turbo back going on)
koni yellows and ground control coilovers
fuzion 225 front and 245 rear tires
thats pretty much it except all the little things that go along with the buildup, alternative motorsports is th only location nearby that can tune my car so the dyno and tune will be done there just before spring if money permits. i am still debating having sean from torquefreaks fly in a doing the tune for me. im not really sure about all this just yet.
i work at steve baily honda in okc if you guys ever need any work done come see me. cant say i can hook you up, but you can have a fellow s2000 owner work on the car. later

Dayum.... I'd say that should haul some a$$.
I'll be up in OKC tomorrow dropping my car off to get its "boo-boo" fixed. I'll have to drive a rental for the time being.

im looking to get around 400whp. i think this should be a descent safe hp for this engine. most people that get this engine look for much more, around 500-600. i will be running 2 maps. one with a moderate boost setting and another with a high boost settting. the higher should get me some more hp but im planning on needing a nice high octane fuel for that setting.
on another note this clutch isnt bad at all. i figured with it being a stage 4 copper clutch it would be hell on the streets in traffic. its stubborn at times but definately driveable. it probably not last as long because of the type of driving but im sure the setup will change before then anyways. let me know where you guys hang down here. ive been to a couple of the "spots" but too many cops to watch any races go down.
