Default Moving to Tulsa in 2 weeks

I'm officially moving to Tulsa in 2 weeks. It happened too suddenly so it looks like I'll most likely bring the s2k with me. Being from NYC, the s2k crowd here is really active. Any meets or cruises once a while there? Would love to meet some new people and learn more about the city. Hopefully I'll fit in and won't feel out of place in Tulsa. Looking forward to possibly meeting some of ya in the near future!

We're a pretty diverse and welcoming group so fitting in shouldn't be a big deal. The local community isn't super active like Metro, especially this time of year, but we do have meets once every other month or so. I look forward to meeting you!

Look forward to meeting you too. Let me know if any one here likes Asian food. I can probably get you guys a discount at a relative's restaurant.

What restaurant? I can only think of one person in particular who doesn't like Asian food. I'm sort of picky when it comes to Asian food.

Welcome to tulsa. Like Julie said. The s2k crowd isn't much active around this time of year. Even the car crowd here wouldn't be anywhere close to NYC I would image.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys soon. I'm leaving Sunday afternoon and should arrive by Tuesday. Is it wise to put painter's tape over my front end or just leave it alone for the trip?

Wow, that's gonna be a long haul! Blue painters tape or some kind of protective film probably wouldn't hurt. The roads here are covered with salt and sand (and potholes). If you use painters tape, be sure to remove it as soon as you get here. Set tire pressures accordingly (please tell me you're not running summer tires) and if the weather gets bad, adjust your speed accordingly. Sorry... I don't mean to lecture, just don't want to hear about the demise of another S2000 that could have been prevented. Be safe and let us know when you get here!

Sadly it is running on summer tires because it's not my daily. Am I going to run into any snow on my way there? I was thinking of setting my tire pressure to 40psi on all 4 tires. What would you recommend? It's raining over here tomorrow so I decided to not put the painters tape on until I stay overnight at a hotel.

Depends... what route are you taking? I know St. Louis just got dumped on over the weekend. We got a little overnight but hopefully it'll be above freezing by the time you get here on Tuesday. I'd put the tires between 32 and 35 psi cold.
