Default new TIRES

i have some falken azenis tires on my S right now and between the previous owner and myself we have killed these tires. they werent very old when i bought the car and now they are almost bald. i admit i do have some alignment issues but that will be getting fixed after the new tires.

i want a good tire that will last a while, but that im still going to get good performance out of without a HUGE price tag. the same tire that i have on it now is only about 330 a set. i would like to stay right around that price which is about 73 a piece for the front and a little more on the rear. these prices are from discounttiredirect.com i have used them before with great service, so no worries.

what tires are you guys using and what are your commments about them. good or bad.

I put Yokohoma Advan S-4's on ours last year and have really been pleased with them. They are not in the price range you are looking at though.

I have heard good things about a Riken Raptor. The cooper/Kelly tire place here in owasso sells a lot of them. They are inexpensive and get the job done well. I can not remember the price of them. Might call around

Fuzion ZRis. 225/50 front, 245/45 rear. Reasonable price, good performance (Fuzions are made by Bridgestone). Loved all four years of use on my S. Call Jim Holloman at the Tire Rack.

I picked up a set of 4 Riken Raptor ZR's this weekend. MUCH better ride than what I had before. A lot quieter ride and a bit smoother (for Tulsa roads). Handles well and corners nice. No complaints here.

Go with the Sumitomo HTR Z III's like Paul said -- best tire in that price range.

I hated Fuzion ZRis.

well i ordered some falkens again. i have always had good luck with falkens, i think the alignment is just the issue with the tire wear.
