Default Two-Way Radios

Do you like your two-way radio?

Which model do you use and which headset?

what is the frequency that we will need like on the BMT? i was lucky and found a guy that let me borrow his for the last half of the trip adn that made me decide i definately needed some for the next trip. the one i was using though had alot of static sometimes and other times it wouldnt even let the sound go through just all static. i want some that are a little better than that. would just a bigger signal like 15 miles vs 22 miles fix this?

Mine claim to be 8-mile range, but there were times when we would be going along and the group would sort of spread out and I couldn't communicate with the car at the other end, but I know we weren't more than a mile apart. However, maybe all the mountains and stuff worked like interference.

For BMTs, just any regular FRS radio. We never use sidebands because using them increases the delay when transmitting. Probabry can't go wrong with Motorola. I would never buy a Motorola phone, but two-way technology is like their fort

These radio range ratings are line of sight, nothing in between.
