What a GREAT time we had today. Couldn't have asked for better weather.
We started out meeting at Coffee's On at Mall 205 and proceeds to work our way to Woodburn Company Stores Outlet and spent a couple of hours there shopping. At 12:00 we made our way to the Oregon Garden Resort. We drove through Mt. Angel which had the Oktoberfest going on and as we were passing all the people going to the Oktoberfest, we actually got a round of applause from the crowd.
When we got to the gardens, we discovered that the tram taking us from the gardens to the resort for lunch has broke down, so we hiked it. And what a nice little walk it was up to the resort. And when we got there we discovered a very yummy brunch waiting for us, which included fruit, fresh baked items, eggs, bacon as well as we could order freshly made omletes, eggs benedict, waffles, and that's not all, we even had roasted pork loin, prime rib, barbecue ribs, crab cakes and all sorts of other great tasty items as well as a full tray of a variety of desserts. It was all so yummy and after we feasted, and got our bill, we discovered that they gave us a big discount...instead of $25 for brunch, they only charged us $17 each...SCORE!!!
After rolling ourselves out of the resort we proceeded to walk around the gardens. And I was amazed at how beautiful it was...80 acres of beautifully manicured gardens. We even had an opportunity to listen to an orchestra play some beautiful music. It was such a great day that the horrible traffic on I-5 coming home couldn't dampen my great mood.
Thanks to all the ladies that made it out for this. Janice, Joyce (sister), Barb (mother in law) Julie Debbie Reshma Karen Jody & Darlene (sister) Gita & Carol (friend) Crystal & Tammy (friend)
I appreciate all of you coming out to play with me. And maybe we'll go back to the gardens in the spring to see it in a different season.

Of course...I told you I'd take care of them. Jody did great...she didn't go over 105 at all, only heard her grind the gears once or twice. Just joking, she did great.
I sent you a pic of your sexy girlfriend at the gardens...did you get it?
