Default 45k maintenance

Im getting really close to 45000 miles and my maintenance light started flashing today. What is basically involved in the 45k service? The manual i have says basically coolant and brake fluid change.

I did some searching and it looks some people do their diff fluid at 45k.

So whats everyones opinion? Should i change the coolant, brake fluid, and diff fluid?

If so, can anyone lend a hand. The diff fluid change looks easy, but i dont have many tools.

Maint light flashing is just an oil reminder, nothing more. A mileage counter would be more accurate. It starts flashing as you get close to 6000 mi from the last reset. At 6000 it comes on solid until you reset it.

Check the user manual for the regular maintenance for that mileage.

Oil, Tranny, Diff is probably about all you really need. None are very hard. Tools are nothing special, but you do need a few different ones that I dont remember off the top of my head.

Chris,

I've done the Tranny and it's really easy. While I had the car up, I looked at the Diff and it appears easy too....I just didn't have the Diff fluid to replace it. You will need some sort of hose to pump the Tranny fluid in. I bought something but ended up modifying it to make it work. Let me know when you need help.

Yeah phong, ill need a way to get the car up. I figure if i use my jack itll put the diff at an angle and it wont drain fully. So if you have a way to get the whole car up itd be great.

I havent read on the tranny fluid change yet, but the diff fluid looks like itd take like 15 mins.
