Default ABHI- I need your help

Hi buddy, I sure do miss ya...

I figured I would ask here, that way I'll always be able to find the answer and I won't have to keep asking ya.

1- can you tell me yet another time, what was the tiny battery you put in your S?
2- can you tell me how long you have now had it?
3- can you give me an update on its performance and longevity?
4- can you tell me if you would buy the same thing again?

The battery in my S is now 6-years old, and it seems to be fine still, however, the one in my CRX-SiR is 9-years old and that one is not too thrilled with this cold weather. The thought is donate the S battery to Rex and then buy a small bettery for the S this winter.

My main motivation is I really want to get the oil catch can added into the engine bay this winter, and I still think the spot near the battery would be perfect, but the OEM battery is just too big to allow me to get the can in there.

Thanks man, and, to you and the entire family

Hey, Doug, I emailed you also. Hopefully, the mods here will not mind posting this here also, as others may benefit from this.

Can you tell me yet another time, what was the tiny battery you put in your S?

Thanks man. I'll look into this as the replacement for the S's battery. I'm still getting a little blow-bye of oil at the top of The Esses at The Glen when I go through the fast right at the top of the hill. I know the catch can will help, but there is just so little space under the hood for the can to go.

2009 will be my 8th season with the S, my mileage is up to about 55k, and as it cost way too much to quench the Titan's thirst I ran the CRX-SiR much of the summer, so that whole not driving the car for a couple 2, 3 or 4 weeks thing is something I know about because I just plain had a blast driving the CRX-SiR this summer. Plus, I'm shopping for a '99 HONDA VFR 800Fi, I figure a newer bike will get me riding more, and that too will help to keep the mileage down on the S, i.e. increasing those times when the car does not get driven for weeks at a time.

BTW- Big news. Eric got married this past weekend. Wedding was great, very laid back. And John was the photographer, it was great.

Hi Abhi!

Last time the CRX-Si was at Ontario Honda they checked the battery, they told me it is so week they are surprised it still turns over the car. Considering the car is 19-years old and that is the 2nd battery, I think I got my moneies worth.

Anyways, I'm going to donate to the CRX-Si the battery from the S, which means I'll finally be in the market for a new battery.

It has now been many years, are you still happy with your battery choice?

Anybody know the weight of the OEM battery?

Sounds like the NRG Cell is 11.5 pounds.

Hey, Doug, yes I am very happy with the battery. Also, I think the stock battery weighs close to 25 lbs.

Update

Well for sure I have to replace the S's battery

The last time I pushed the start button I was sure I was going to go have to get the jumper cables

Problem is, the CRX-Si battery is equally dead, so the plan of giving the S battery to the CRX-Si is now a dead idea

I think I'll try a Walmart battery for Rex, and go for the little one for the S2000
