A month or so ago Debbie and I drove up to The Dalles for a very nice Italian dinner at Romul's. The drive is nice and the food it excellent!

Since our group drives are winding down for the season, we thought it would be fun to combine a drive with dinner.

The day would be Saturday, September 22nd.
...
We would meet up at 3:30 pm at Troutdale and head east on I-84 through the Gorge, arriving at The Dalles at 5:00.

Following dinner, we would head over to the Washington side and drive back to the Portland area on Hwy. 14, arriving about 7:30 or so.



We will meet up at a McDonalds parking lot. Head out on I-84 eastbound, Take Exit 17 - Marine Drive / Troutdale . You will see the McDonalds as you exit I-84.

We will LEAVE at 3:30 , so be there.....or catch up!

We will take Exit 85 into The Dalles. Turn right at the bottom of the off-ramp and then right again on 2nd Street. Go west to Court and turn left. Romul's is on the left.

That sounds like a great idea. I'm pretty sure I will be able to make it, but I don't know if Sandi can though.

 

Hmm...there is a chance I may even jump in on this. Put Teresa and I as a tentative.

I'm trying to rearrange my schedule so that I can join in on this one, unfortunately I was not able to the last 2 months and feel like I've missed out. I'm a "maybe" for now, will let you know for sure soon.

 

OK, I've made firm reservations for 10 people.

However, adding more to the reservation is NOT a problem. We have a large area reserved for us.

I will need to update them on the numbers as we get closer, so if you are going, let me know....

Checking the calendar is always a good thing to do before committing to anything. Unfortunately, last night I said I was going on this and today I find out that my calendar has been booked for that weekend. All of the grandparents are out of town and I am on kid duty when I get off work on Saturday.
