Default Any Ideas?

I have about $800 that I want to put into my stock S(AEM V2 cai). I am thinking about lowering(espelir's), powder coating wheels, and getting front OEM lip. I would like to do performance upgrades but it seems like a waste of money for bolt-ons with this car . Am I wrong, are there any performance mods worth getting for my current budget?

I know it is annoying when newbs ask this, but I'll try anyway and be ready for the haters

It seems like this forum is dying lately, where is everyone???

I would say GEARS

I think 800 would be about right for that and from what I have heard, they are worth every penny

I agree with Gavin, but I don't think that $800 be able to pay for the installation too, unless you know how to install them yourselves or know someone who does. (I did a little search around Eugene and the CHEAPEST installation quote was $1000. The Honda dealer wouldn't install them.)

I got a quote from a place up here for 250 or 300, cant remember the exact quote... That is with me taking the diff of and bringing it to them to do the gear swap...

What's your e-mail? I'll send you a video that CLEARLY shows the benefits of aftermarket gears.

Are there any risks involved with going to aftermarket gears? Obviously you would want a reliable installer, but what about reliability?

no worries on reliability, though depending on which ratio you go with, some of them will have an added whining sound.

Gears can affect two things malignantly:
1. top speed
2. gas mileage if you drive lots of hwy miles

but most people never get their car up to 150mph anyways, and the mileage hit is slight.

As a matter of fact, yes! I am a poor man who is lucky enough to own a beautiful car. Any suggestions on installer? I seen a GB on 4.44 gears for $360 shipped and another GB for 4.77 gears $380 shipped.

There is another GB for 1 built diff with a 4.57r gear for 04-06

Normal Prices are:
590.00 gear
250.00 install
125.00 install parts
--------
965.00 + 1000.00 core

What is the best gear and/or deal??
