I'll have $3k laying around here soon. When I bought the S I told myself the first thing I'd buy was a hardtop due to the fact that I hate soft tops with a passion. I also need a few more parts for my coilover install and I'm wanting an AEM EMS sense I'm getting into tuning. I want all of these parts badly so I'm not sure what I should buy first.

If you hate softtops "with a passion" it seems natural to get the hardtop first.

Hardtop or suspension parts. IMHO the AEM EMS is only something I would get if I would really benefit from a tune. The hardtop and the suspension would give you more pleasure so to speak. Since you hate the soft top I would imagine a hardtop is something that you would get.

So I've been crunching some numbers and I think I'll hold off on a hard top for a while longer; unless I find one for cheap). To start off, I'm thinking more along the lines of

AEM EMS and wideband(I want more practice tuning)
Berk header
Megan toe arms, tie rod ends
alignment
ebay short ram intake(to be used with the FIPK box)
exhaust cap for single exhaust

From what I've saw a 100% OEM s2k of any year would benefit nicely from a tune, let alone a modified one. Just smoothing out the VTEC cross-over and getting rid of the extremely rich area above 8k would make it worth it to me. I street tuned my H22 that had every bolt on imaginable and it was a night and day difference; MUCH broader torque curve along with better gas mileage I'm seriously very anxious to start tuning the S.

Good advice. The suspension and hardtop are both options that completely changes the look of your car as well.

I just ordered Megan toe arms and tie rod ends. Sense it's almost summer anyways, I decided to hold off on the hardtop and buy other things I need/want. I'm looking for a used AEM series 1 now. Their was one for a steal of a price last week.

Hopefully I have my coilovers on this month.
