Emissions testing?
I admit I haven't owned an old car for some time but I just learned that I have to take my 04 through em missions testing in Wa... Isn't that a bit extreme for a modern 4-5ish year old car!!! UG!
I dont have emissions where I live
but I think in Wa they just plug a thing into the car. Im pretty sure they dont do a sniffer or anything though, most say it isnt an issue since all s2ks are OBDII

Yeah OBD II is plug in. A long as the car is warm and you have no CEL's you should normally pass with flying colors. For the older cars like my moms 85 Cadillac they have to hook the sniffer up to the exhaust pipe.

They really want your money is all. Just make sure that your car is warm and it's OK. All cars over 4 years old must have emissions test every other year. Cars this new should NEVER have a problem passing...except for maybe Fords.
