Default Fender rolling recommendation?

My new wheels are wider with less offset so it is appropriate to make sure they fit a bit better. I have helped with a roll job years ago but it was not an S2000 which looks a little more challenging, so experienced help is desirable.

What experience have you had with shops/tech here in the area? As usual I am hunting for experience, quality, and good price.

Any good recommendations?

Hey Chris,

What are the wheel and tire specs?

I know you are a big DIY guy, so renting a roller might be an option for you as well.

Your paint is fairly old so it will be brittle and you will likely see some cracking depending how uch of a roll/pull you need.

Wheels are RPF1's 8x17x45 and 9x17x45 and my car is lowered about 1+ inches, camber is -1,-2. I went with 215/245 tires to minimize the issue. I could probably run them without change but will pay for it with rubbing on some driving days.

I am still considering DIY but still have to find a roller and heat gun. Have looked at the better vids on the process and see work and patience will get it done. You are right, my paint is almost 15 years old so heat may not make it very pliable.

Did you do your own? Where would you rent the roller? (I have seen the online offers).

I may have to work up the confidence to jump into this.

What brand of tire?

And are you on an aftermarket coilover or spring?

Yes, I have done probably a dozen or so cars, so I could help with some tips or even stop by if you have the car all up on stands and tools ready to go, we could get it done pretty quickly.

I have a heat gun, as for the roller you can see if trackforged will rent you there's. I know they have in the past.

Most of the rubbing is usually on the bumper tab/bolt itself. I think at your height and those specs a flat roll will solve any potential issues you may have. My suggestion though is that if you are going to go through all this trouble anyway, you relocate the rear bumper tab and trim the rear bumper so that you can comfortably fit a 255 back there in the future.

With the way you drive, you will need it

Bought RE-11a's as my summer tires.

Car is on some very early (and not very good) JIC coilovers so I could make adjustments.

Yeah, I initially thought 225/255 was the way I was going but decided that the 215/245 setup would satisfy 98% of my driving and be more salable if the situation cam up.

Since I have kept this car going for over 14 years now and sunk a lot into it in the past year (wheel bearings, transmission, clutch, cv joint, brakes, etc.) I will probably go for a full roll in case I wind up with another 14.

Thanks for your comments... I may PM you for help.

Have the same specs, front I am fine. Had to roll the rears and trim tab. Used flushrollers, for the rolling part. Did a good job, slight flare, $35 a well. Two of them work on a well at a time. I would have utilized some local help but schedules didn't work

Report... all is good.

Renting a roller is a little hassle so I went to FlushRollers also. They did the rear and after trimming the front liner and cutting the tabs were hesitant to roll the little bit of lip with my brittle paint so we passed. This week I used a heat gun when working on reducing a dent and went ahead and used a small hand roller to reduce the quarter inch lip in so it is as done as it needs to be. I also moved the rear tabs so expect no problems.

The new wheels look good and the RE-11a tires are nice on the wider wheels. The OEM wheels with RE970AS tires (don't buy these) are put up until next winter.

Thanks so the tips. Not a member anymore so no pics.
