I think we are all lucky to know what they re-realized again. Great post Paul.

I bought into the hype for these cars pretty well, I have a tendency to do that on new models. I test drove 2 of them and all my hype/excitement was gone. All the track junkies that own the BRZ/FRS lead me to believe that they were something they aren't. While they might be right if the car is on a track, the same isn't so for street use.

I still remember my test drive in the S. From the 1st moment I drove it I knew there's something very intimate about the driving experience. The BRZ and FRS did not have that anywhere.

Just my $.02

The new 86 is like driving an S with the fuel cut set just before vtec. It was a huge dissapointment for me too.

I love seeing videos like this. Makes me appreciate all over again the type of car that I own. I think we sometimes take for granted what we have. But what we have is a brilliant piece of engineering that is not made any more. Let's make sure we take care of the ones that are still in existence.

Thanks for sharing Paul!
