Default Hey guys!

Hey,
I know this isn't a introduction forum. But I was hoping to start a discussion and meet some of you guys in the near future. More personal to the area. And I was excited to see a PDX only forum too!

My name is Allen
I drive a 1986 Corolla GTS coupe, I am picking up a *wrecked* 05 s2000 for the swap.
I am a long time Corolla owner, I have owned many over the past 5 years.
Well, pictures speak louder than words.

And the most current picture of all. Motor is ready to be pulled. Mounts for F22c should be getting made in the next couple weeks.

Here is my build thread on the Northwest local ae86 forum.

Cheers!

Wow man!

That is going to be sweet! I hope all goes well with the swap. I would love to see this setup when you get it done.

Keep in touch throughout the process and make sure you take pics of the job and post them up here for us

Later,

Brandon

Welcome Allen, It's going to be one very cool Corolla! Please keep us updated. Ever since watching Inital D and seeing Takumi's white AE86 hatch beat all these other high-end cars made me look for one for quite sometime, thinking that it will be cheap and easy to find. Boy was I wrong. Good luck with the build!

The cool thing to is I just found out Greddy is releasing a full turbo kit for F20 and F22's. This think they claimed it bumpt the hp up to around 306.

I remember reading about this in the FI forum. I think the 306hp is at the crank, with roughly 260whp. Another company that is trying to fullfil our need for power is Jackson Racing who is developing a Rotrex supercharger for our cars which will hopefully be released somtime end of summer. The Rotrex supercharger will be interesting and "sounds" like it may be very well suited for the S. Its just nice to be able to have more options for FI.

Very nice

Was your car at rev motorsports in portland this past weekend? I dropped my car off there for tuning and saw a blue hachiroku with a F20C in their garage. The interior was gutted and they had fabbed a transmission tunnel for it.

Thanks guys.
I am excited about the swap. I am also building the chassis at the same time and fixing all the body work. 10 point cage and Levin front end.

As far as power goes. My car dynoed in at 102.3 hp and 93.3 ft/lb on my 4age. The motor was rebuilt, head work was done and it was fresh (FRESH!) and those were the numbers I got to the wheels. It is way too hard to suck horsepower out of these motors N/A without spending a fortune. Right now there is a 16v built 4ag going for 6k.

So upgrading to a F22c (even though I wouldn't have minded a F20c) is doubling the horsepower and 50 more ft/lb. I don't think I will ever boost the motor either. There is just no point. Maybe small stuff later on but for now I will enjoy doubling the power.

By the way, I do most of the work myself. I can't weld yet, so I let other people do that for me. I will be keeping a very picture friendly and descriptive build-up.
I also drive my car, so it won't be one of those cool motor swapped cars that people stare at. It will preform too. I can't say anything about the owner of the corolla at rev motorsports. I would like to see another corolla+f20/22 running at drift events too. But some people just get too attached sometimes and you just got to let them be.
