Not only the Y/Z but all the symbols are in odd spots. I have free wifi at the mcdonalds here where they have free bathrooms. most places charge 100Ft (forint) to use it if you arent buying anything. About a dollar.

Since i am not timed now, i can say this:
I HATE driving here. My mom rented a car and handed me the keys. Right into the fire. Total traffic jams, no considerate drivers ANYWHERE and people wedged in whereever they can go.

Cars just stop in the middle of the road and throw hazards on and leave for a few minutes. people park on thee sidewalks. Drivers barely stop for pedestrians at all.

Ive gotten some pictures, but being as ive been driving i hvent gotten as many as id liike. its taking full concentration just not to get hit.

More soon everyone!

Those might be the "good" parts.

Apparently there are no good parts from what I got in his email.

j/k, I'm sure there are and he will be happy to tell us......hopefully......maybe.......

Maybe if you drive like that too it might be easier? lol

Maybe he will post this, maybe not but I will tell anyway. He is heading to Vienna tomorrow and his internet access might be scarce not knowing where any hot spots there are. I hope he gets a chance to get lots of pics there. I've always wanted to go to Vienna!

A recap of the email I just sent to Teresa:

We're in Austria now staying at a really nice Best Western right off the Ringstrausse in Vienna. There is even a Ferarri dealership right next door on the corner with a 599 on display. My mom is quite terrified about what driving is going to be like after I leave. She doesn't have the reflexes to deal with it and my brother is not that experienced. Vienna is much more western, slower paced, less crazy. Still very crowded, but tolerable. We took the M1 expressway out of Budapest and straight in. About 250km. Pretty simple.

We took a city tour and ended at the Strossberg Castle where the Hansburg royal family held. I may be wrong on those spellings. Got some great pictures finally. We leave from here tomorrow morning to head towards Brataslava in Slovakia to meet/stay with friends of my mom.

Just got back from a late dinner at a fantastic small cafe/restaurant called Johnathan & Seiglande. I had a baked potato with roast turkez and white mushrooms drenched in a cream sauce and a delightful Austrian Draught that I cannot recall the name of. It was amazing.

No way to upload pictures here, but if I can find a wifi hotspot sometime I will post up the crappy quality ones from my cell.

More soon!

I only have a few minutes left on this login at the hotel, so I will be quick. Hungary/Budapest really was not that fun for me. The shopping district was ok, but the rest of it was just too chaotic and after spending so much time trying to get anywhere in the car, it wasted the ability to sightsee much. I'll be back in Budapest Friday night and have Saturday to attempt to take a tour. There are some spectacular places I could see when I went across the Chain Bridge over the Danube and am hoping to get closer. We had some great food with a friend of my mom's at a relatively outoftheway restaurant. I' tell more later
