I'm NOT offended
1. Leave your ego, your loyalty, and your silly pride behind.
2. Go to the Pacific Northwest S2000 Owners forum - and read through "Drive Calendar 2008." Link: Here
3. Amuse yourself with their (gentle?) bashing of S2Ki Oregon drives AND drivers.

I can understand why some people might be a little miffed about some of the comments, but as far as I'm concerned, it doesnt matter too much.
They obviously enjoy our drives and that's what counts. They respect our "rules" while they're joining our events so it's all good in my opinion. Overall they are a good group and I've never had much complaint about them as long as that respect during our meets remains.
Props to their crew that drive all the way down just so they can join up with the events we do. I know the situation all too well
. Beyond that, they can think what they want about me, my driving skill or my drive lead ability. I'm learning as I go, as are many of us. So many new owners have joined our group, I'm fine being "too slow" in their eyes. The primary concern (IMO) is that our group is comfortable, enjoys the drives, and most of all, is safe.

with most of what Aaron says. We may not have as many "spirited" parts of our trips, but I like to keep my driving record clean. I only take offense to them assuming that we don't always have communication/organization through out the group. On almost all of our drives we had multiples of radios to keep us in contact.Other than that I am not offended one bit.
I'm not offended at all. I enjoy our drives, and enjoyed their company last year. The ones that were on our drives last year seem to be a younger group and they probably would like a more "spirited drive", but like everyone already stated here, at least we're safe. None of us have been stopped and ticketed. In a group where we have drivers of different levels, we must drive so that EVERYONE is comfortable. We are in cars that is capable of us being "spirited", but is it worth any of our friends being badly hurt or killed? I think not.
If any one of us want a "spirited drive", we simply go out by ourselves and enjoy the full potential of our vehicles...I do. But I wouldn't want the responsibility of one of you trying to keep up and end up being hurt.
I like our drives the way they are, if we want to go faster...we simply slow down.

Don't worry about what other people say. The matter of fact, who cares what they say!! By far the S2K Oregon group is the most organized group I've ever been with....An trust me, I 've been with many groups such as low rider trucks, untouchable toys, dissing impossible, and one of the largest low rider group Ouso. And even these well know groups back in the late '90's is not this orgoanized when it comes to planning a drive or just a weekend D&D......
