Default Intake mod

What do you guys think of this as a way to provide fresh air to the air filter?

A couple of cutouts in the bumper

A couple of holes

A few more holes

Your talking about for the stock intake right?? The stock intake is designed to get air from the bumper (the grill), that what the stock mini snorkel is for....

I would get a snorkel that goes all the way down to the opening in the bumper way before I would even think about cutting holes in my bumper!

But there a plastic diverter in the way that moves the air tot he radiator and so there is no air coming up to the air intake.

the air still gets past the plastic diverter, there are little cuts in it on the left side, right under the stock airbox opening... yes they are small, but they are functional.

Also, if you really wanted to go that route, you'd be better off getting one of the aftermarket bumpers that already have the cutout on the left side for the intake, cutting the stock bumper will not give you a satisfactory look....

but really, if you want to get cooler air up to that opening, look into one of those snorkels that goes down into the main bumper opening.

You need a Spoon, AUT, or Muz snorkel....

But if you want to cut your bumper, I'm the guy to talk to! LOL

Oh, and it wont do anything better for the car... the snorkels put the air right into the box, unlike these holes. Plus they aren't exactly eye-candy.
JMHO.

That Alex duct would be better, but still would do hardly anything to a stock box. It's designed to be used with a snorkel like Mugen's.

(BTW - Please do not offer on the Alex duct FS. I do not want it, but I know a story behind the seller and whatnot, and it should NOT be FS - PM me if interested.)
