It's interesting to me that some of the larger companies' connections actually show up as being provided by themselves rather than their provider. That must mean they own the IP addresses rather than leasing them as you would as a regular Comcast (or such) customer. But I guess that makes sense considering the size of the company and the potentially large number of addresses they might have.

Our phone system is by Verizon and it is a VOIP system. I learned this when I called to cancel my FIOS service. They kept bouncing me from rep to rep since my contact number was my desk number and it is in their system.

VOIP makes it really easy and inexpensive to have multiple sites and also move numbers between sites. I'd be interested to see VOIP on such a large scale installation. We use it on our clients' networks and our own, but those are all between 10 and 50 nodes, which is pretty small and doesn't require much backend hardware or infrastructure.
