Default Jiffy Lube Experience

Hello to all

I'm in need for an oil change and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with Jiffy Lube shops.

Since i don't have any tools to do it myself, i thought it would be just easier to do it one of those places. I called them and they said that the oil filter they use is Mile Guard. Has anyone heard of this? Is this a good oil filter? Also, since i'm sticking with dyno oil what should i go with ? 10/30?? Now that it's getting cooler here.

Thanks for the info.

I wouldn't go there if I were you. I can help you do the oil change if you like. Only if you live close to me. And you'd have to get the necessities of course.

Yah I wouldn't go to Jiffy lube either. I live off of division and 117th, I can also help/show you how to do an oil change. It only takes like 1/2 hour

Also, fyi, most garages (and even some oil change shops) will DO the oil change if you bring them the oil and the filter (and crush washer). That'll save you the mess, the need to rely on others, the risk that they're using reprocessed (used) oil or a substandard filter, and it won't cost you much. It's not as if there's anything hard about it, so you don't have to worry about them mucking it up....
