Angry Let's EAT and GREET... Again!

After our Hooters Eat and Greet last week we have decided to switch restaurants at least for the next few times... We had a great time and the atmosphere was good but most people have chimed in with some really good ideas.

Where to next?

Any thoughts or suggestions on locations? Obviously the time would need to be after normal working hours for most of us during the week.

I'm not sure if I can do every week. But some kind of monthly thing might work for me to start, and see how the group progress as time.

Weekends works better for me than week nights just because I don't have a set time when I leave work, and sometimes we have these darn meetings with Asia so then its like pass 8-9pm.

I so forgot about hOOters being in town! Or I would have already suggested it. I hadn't made any suggestions as I don't frequent many places in Portland.

I second!

The only problem with Hooters is that there is often a wait to get in, and it's tough for people to just stop by without the organizer knowing how many people to expect (and thus how big a table to ask for).

There's always Starz.

Other ideas that may be less offensive to women...
  • Baja Fresh on Scholl's Ferry
  • Izzy's in Beaverton or Wilsonville
  • Buster's BBQ on 99W
  • Nacho Mama's on 99W (between Tigard and Sherwood)
  • Ironhorse on the east side (Milwaukie I think?)
  • Billygan's Road House in Tualatin
  • Hot Seat Bar & Grille in Tualatin
  • Yeatsy's in L.O.
  • Bamboo Grill (used to be Noho's) just off Macadam
That should give people plenty to fight over.

Week nights work better for me, and I'd suggest maybe once a month or once every two weeks rather than every week.

Some considerations for those of us from the "other side of the tracks," so-to-speak....

**Billy Reed's, NE Martin Luther King Blvd. -- Northeast PDX

**MacTarnahans's Taproom (formerly Portland Brewing), NW 31st Ave. -- Northwest PDX

**McMenamins Kennedy School, NE 33rd Ave. -- Northeast PDX

**Widmer Gasthaus, N Russell St. -- North PDX

Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights work best for me.

All of these sound like great ideas to me.... Like I said, we can do a new one every time.

Hooters sounds fun!
Henry's is a favorite of mine but might be too nice for this...
Kennedy School has great atmosphere...

I'm stoked that everyone has such great ideas... Let's decide on one of them for the first Eat/Greet and then determine which time is best for the majority.
