Limited garage space?
Since technically you own the air above and the ground beneath your house there's no reason you can't use it, right?

A dude in a neighborhood I used to bike through had two Corvettes in the same single car garage stall - one was on a pneumatic lift with the other parked underneath it.

There was a house I went to in NY several years ago. We went into the garage. It was a 3 bay with 2 of the lifts.
On the right was a C5 used for weekend track use on the top.
Another C5 for street on the right on the bottom.
On the left side top was a 1960ish Jag couple.
An AMG E55 on the left side bottom.
The center stall had a Bentley Continental GT.
I wish I had a camera with me.

since most of these seem to be outside where does all the water go when it rains? I can just picture the car sitting underground in a pool of water

My roof and yard drain into a pipe in the yard that goes way down into the runoff system - french drains.
These people also probably live up a hill. So even if this stuff went 20 feet underground it would still have lots of altitude it could run down.
