Default In Monaco

So I'm in Monaco for a couple weeks, for work, and I've noticed something. Even people who own Bentleys and Ferraris don't put the top down on beautiful days, even when they're in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. During lunch I watched cars drive by for an hour and saw a single Bentley with the top down.

They're setting up for the Monaco Grand Prix right now. The event is just over a month away and they're building the grand stands around the port. I walked the course one day. It's hard to find the turns when you're traveling at 1/90th the speed you've only ever seen it at before. Gran Turismo

My hotel is actually in the middle of the course. If it's not the red box in this diagram it's got to be next door. Where you might find this really cool, it's actually pretty shitty. The construction building the rails, fencing, and grand stands goes on almost 24 hours per day and is really noisy. Not to mention the locals zooming around on their mopeds at all hours.

I haven't seen a whole lot of Hondas. Perhaps 3 or 4 the whole time I've been here. And no S2000s But oddly enough I saw a black Mustang GT convertible. Top up of course ...

The reason I'm here is one of our team members is moving, and his replacement won't be in town for another week. They had a going away party for him and his girlfriend - they are returning to Australia.

Rough life
