I wasnt feeling the fireworks/festivities thing this year, and Shonda has been working some crazy long days (getting to work at noon and off at 1-2am).

We decided to hit the zoo Saturday afternoon and call it a finished holiday.

It was fun, but the highlight was the Lorikeet area.

For $1 you can get a small cup of apple juice to feed them. They'll come right to you and not leave you alone. We saw one bird steal a girl's cup and take it up into the tree to finish it off.
