Default No front plate?

I saw on the news last night that the city is cracking down on cars without a front license plate. They've issued something like 3000 citations (for $35) in the last couple of months - showed an officer sticking one on the windshield of a parked car! The apparent motivation: 16% of cars caught by red-light cameras couldn't be cited because they didn't have front plates. 'Guess they're gonna fix that....

It's kinda nice knowing I don't have to worry about this anymore. $35? I'm guessing they're taking it easy during the first round.

Time for everyone to be like Doug

Yep, getting really bad.

My wife got pulled over in her WRX and got a warning. I got pulled over for the first time last week for no plate. I have run with no plate since 1998 and never been pulled over for it.

The ticket here is $97 You only have to pay $10 if you show the judge that you fixed it though

I can not believe that our policemen and women have nothing better to do then pull people over for this

Last week I called the police station to tell them about a car that was left on the side of the road at the entrance to my hood. They told me that they were too busy to come out and tag it. The day after I called a kid in my neighborhood was playing on it and fell and cut his hand really bad What is more important, safety, or pulling people over for a law that many states see as useless

Oh and BTW, they might be loosing 16% of the revenue that would have come in if those people had their front license plates on. But don't you think that if they stopped requiring front plates throughout the state they would save way more $$$?

I don't remember how much it is for tags/licensing in Oregon but only having to pass out 1 plate for the same cost would save the state tons of money. They already did out with the front tag

Are Corvette exempt from having a front plate? I've never seen a vette with a front plate.

I think the law enforcers go easy on Corvette owners because they all have small penises.
