1. i think the way our current forum is setup has many positives and great people which is what gravitated me to participate in the first place. i don't think its necessary for any CO to step in and try to reinvent the wheel. what we have works, and there are areas in which can be improved. i would want to help make everyone feel included as the demographic will always be shifting. drives, d&d's, detail days, photo shoots, group buys, track days etc. with the forum being lead by larry and aaron, it seemed they had a strong interest in our drives and detail days so some of their strengths over lapped, bringing in a new CO that can collaborate with aaron will broaden the scope of the forum, giving everyone a chance to participate in something they have specific interests in, it will introduce members to each other and strengthen the community.

2. the current drive schedule IS amazing. countless hours have been put in by larry and aaron to detail out the drive plans, so the hard parts have already been completed, i would want to continue to move forward with the drive schedule as the community warrants. if attendance starts dropping off on these drives, revisions can be made as needed.

Monday is coming up very quick and I see that we have 4 candidates. I would like to ask a question of each of the candidates:

1. What is your vision for S2ki OR?

2. As far as drives are concerned, do you see if we will keep our current drive schedule? And what changes do you see yourself making to our drives.

Good questions Amy

also
It be nice to have a few drives that aren't 6hrs of driving and only 2min pit stops to socialize!

best of luck to our candidates

Good questions everyone...

I know I'm not really involved in the election process, just here more as an advisor (and still thinks the next CO has some big shoes to fill with VintageMac stepping down )

Good luck everyone

I know this is late to the game, but I would like to nominate Bryan Brown as a candidate for CO.

I think Bryan would be an excellent choice due to his deep passion to the S2000 and his excitement and interest in the group. Even with living in Eugene he has been on several drives and D&D’s over the past year.

His youth and enthusiasm will be a great compliment to Aaron in leading our wonderful group to new adventures.

first off i would like to say, Larry i am sad to hear bout you stepping down and thank you for all you have done with this family.

for the first question, my vision for S2ki Oregon would be to try to get the two groups that are within this family together as much as possible. I know that not everyone will always eye to eye, but I think there is a half way point that can be reached over time. now being probably the youngest one in the group, I enjoy the picture days and get together. then at the same time i love learning more about the car and the people that share the same interest as I do on the drives.

as far as the drives go, I’m not always able to make them. I make as many as I can because there is nothing like smiling ear to ear with the top down and some of the best people you’ll ever know. I would keep the current drives and maybe add a couple "small drives" just out side of Portland. I am always up for trying new roads and finding the long way home(hopefully without getting lost) living in Eugene and not having allot to do, I enjoy jumping in my car and making a loop on back roads or around town. its the little things that count.
