I'm not much for bar hopping, or concerts, or coffee shops. Does anyone play poker? Or have video game nights? Maybe movie nights? Or play board games? We go on hikes with Amy and they're great, but sometimes I just want to sit on my butt, not in a loud bar, and spend time with friends.

When we finally get chairs for our new dining room table Elizabeth would probably like to have some game nights / pot-lucks at our house, and I could really go for some poker. There have been a few 'guys only' poker tables I've been invited to but, and the girls are going to get sappy about this, I really enjoy playing cards with my wife so I usually don't attend those events. Probably the best way to have poker the way I like is to host it myself.

Is anyone doing any of that or interested in doing any of that? Like I said at the wash 'n wax, "I'm here for the food"

I thought everyone like to burn 2 million calories a day. Go hiking in the morning, come home and mow the lawn and pull weeds, then go dancing at night, that's normal.

We're taking Jasmine to the dog park today. Elizabeth's parents are in town so we're going to show them the coolest park in the world, and thought it'd be fun to have Amy, Misty, and Sadie there too - if you can fit us in your busy "no-butt-sitting" schedule (:

Looks like the trip itinerary lists "Tour of Vancouver" 2:15 to 6:00, and includes the dog park. I'll have a more definite time when E gets some coffee in her

Anyone else visit the Ross Complex dog park? It'd be fun to see you there.

 

I used to host movie night at my place for a couple of friends. Maybe we could start that again. The problem is that I have a small place so it could only be a small group.

 

I wish I was closer to you guys. I would be up for a poker night for sure. Maybe if you have one over the weekend I could show up and give you my money

We had a friend in Arkansas who tried to host movie nights, but mostly we just sat around for two hours and ridiculed his viewing selection for the night But I think everyone enjoyed getting together (: Would be fun to do more of that.

 

Sorry, couldn't make it to the dog park today with the girls. We were hiking, we had a hiking date this morning at 8:00 am...not a date for me, but a date with a male Great Dane (Sadie's boyfriend).
