Default PDX brothern!

i am not getting to much info on this question in the UTH forum so i thought i'd ask some local guys and see if anybody may have an answer. heres my question:

are ap1 and ap2 axles swap-able? my inner cvs are going and i really dont want to just put the same weak oem ap1 joints back in. i know that the ap2 axles are stronger and have a bit better design to them.

discuss...

I'd like to know also. Do you think the rear axle spacers prevent this on lowered cars?

versionJDM-I'm assuming you're dropped?

ya i am lowered 1.5 or so. the spacers are suppose to stop this, but i found out the its a "goodwill TSB" from honda. meaning that Honda will fix cars that are out of warrenty too. but in order for honda to do this you have to be a factory ride hight. i am not going to take my springs out and habe JUST THE joints replaced only to put my springs back in and all that rigamarole. i talked with a local honda service advisor and he says it happens to bone stock cars too. its a weak point honda never bothered to address.

i also found in my reaseach that the ap2 are VASTLY improved over the ap1's, so naturally i want the improved axels(along with the joints) for my car.

Really? I didn't know there was a TSB for it. Do you happen to have the number?

What kinda of symptoms are you experiencing to know that you have a axle problem? Noise?
