Yeah. Or tell them to get bent, and your driving it anyways. Or use a sharpie and change the expire date on your trip permit . Change the 03 to an 08. Just tell them you got the rare 5yr trip permit if you get pulled over

that's ridiculous, they should be able to send a temporary registration until the final one comes in. Similar to the temp title you get in OR when registering the car...

they can't expect you to be without a car for a month due to their paper shuffle...

That's what I thought too. But I was told that the original title was completely lost! I had to give MD's DMV the title number off of my fake title that was given to the original owner which he gave me. On that, their is a water mark stating that 'this is not a title' across it.

I wonder if I can use that to get my car registered?

OK....so less than one week away.

I'm handling beer and snacks. What I'd like to see is have some people bring the other neccessary items...like food!

Eric - meat

So...just other side dishes left.

Oh...and...where is the drive and where are we meeting?

Will hasn't chimed in on the drive...so if someone else wants to plan one, let's do it!!

If folks don't have time to bring stuff to grill, I can get chicken and pork in addition to the short ribs and marinate it. Folks can just pitch in some $$ to offset the cost.

Why don't I just get most/all the meat....let's make sure we have an accurate count. Folks that have dietary restricitions, please bring your preference.

I'll plan on:
-Short ribs in my wife's SkinnyLinny's sauce (stuff y'all had last year)
-Chicken in an onion/soy marindade
-Pork in a lemongrass/salt rub

Luke, if you have a charcoal bbq, please plan on plenty of coals!!

Sounds like fun, but I suspect we'll be unpacking boxes (still). Moving is true hell. But hopefully, by the time we get around to coordinating another get-together (perhaps at our house!), we'll be less rushed. I'm at PIR this coming Tuesday with the BMW Club if anyone wants to join me.

Best,
CB
