it sounds like its the starter, you wouldn't be getting the clicking noise repeatedly if it was the battery. usually it wont have enough juice to fire the starter several times if that was the case. but my disclaimer is i dont know jack

To me it sounds like the battery too. Usually when the battery is close to dead it wont have enough juice to completely turn on the car but enough to make that clicking noise.

Swap in a battery from another car if you have one or take it down to an autozone and they can test it.. Sometimes the starter can get stuck so if it turns out to be the starter, bang on it a couple time with a hammer to try and free it if it is stuck

well the volts from the battery seem perfect. i think they were 13.3 or something close to that. Tonight I will know for sure. I finally broke out the jack. Although this did give me an excuse to re-run my stereo rca cables and clean it all up.

That clicking noise was from the starter relay on the under dash fuse panel Fyi. Not the starter

So while doing some running around this morning before work, I saw one of the more interesting mis-badging jobs...

A Toyota Prius with a Bimmer badge in place of the T.
Unfortunately I wasnt quick enough to snap a picture, but wow...

Maybe they were trying to pretend that because it's a bimmer, it wouldnt have brake/accelerator problems?
