This has been aggravating me all day. Nice day sun shining. Decided to take the S to work today. was doing mail delivery today for work. Cruising up the coast and what do I see OSP. Im doing 55 in a 55 with cruise on. Guy flips a U turn on the highway and follows me over 15 miles into town. When we get into a 2 lane he rolls down his window and yells to me that He wants to pull me over for not having a front plate and that if he ever sees my pretty boy sports car without one again im getting a ticket...... WTH is with that seriously. Anyone else get this unwanted attention?

 

Yes. If I remember correctly it is a $120 fine. If you "fix it" and send in a photo they will reduce the fine to $97. But you better not be caught the second time!

Some states require a front license and some don't. Oregon does.

Now you'll have 18 guys jump in here and say they've been running without a front plate in Oregon for X years and have never been bothered. That won't help you, though!

I have a "local" motorcycle cop that watches out to see that I keep my front plate on - and I do (except for that fun little Mod I learned from Dave).

 

I haven't run with a front plate on my cars in at least 15 years and have never got a ticket, even when I have been pulled over for speeding several times.
