i just recently got my skunk 2 exhaust put on i am noticing a rear buzzing on drivers side ..i thought it was the rear tray making the noise so i removed it ..but that wasnt it ..im stumped on what it could be..another possibility is the rear glass window .. do any of you guys with the invidia or skunk 2 exhaust have this buzzing noise from the rear .. the noise occurs around 3k-4k

 

Why do you let the revs drop so low?

 

Is the exhaust rattling against the frame of the car? Can you "feel" the noise?

 

nope ..cant feel the exhaust hitting the car..i looked down there and it doesnt look like its close enough to vibrate against the car

 

Check the welds on the exhaust (all of them not just the ones on the piping but the ones on the hangers & etc.); Ive heard of the resonance from the exhaust wearing on the welds and they come loose and cause a buzzing noise. It is uncommon but not unheard of. Good luck!

 

get one of them trunk monkeys. Then lock him in the trunk till he finds the vibration.
