Default revamped build thread

So Instead of cluttering up the random thread with my build here it is:

I have already completely pulled everything out of the car.

This includes interior, seats, dash,ac,heater, soft top, doors, trunk, all wiring....... You get the picture.

Also was originally going to rewire everything but found that I will only need to rewire the inside harness. the engine harness really doesn't have anything on it and I have decided to cut cost by reusing as much oem as possible.

that was the car before tear down

As I get more accomplished I will post some more pictures.

Still have to get some pictures of the calipers that I coated black. Also Should be picking up all of the removable parts from the engine next week that were at powder coat such as.......Intake manifold, All pulleys, Water pump, the whole front end brackets and so on. Wheels will be getting dropped of at the same time as well as the valve cover and intake pipe.

as most of you know I plan on running the car extremely lean as far as weight goes. which means I will be running functional hood pins. As well as a set of trunk latches. Shaved 12lbs just by removing the front and rear latch as well as the trunk cable and assorted bolts....... More too come in the following weeks

Hells Ya!!

Sweet to see another S go under the knife and get "race ready"

I am assuming you are going to track/autoX?

Are you building your own roll bar/cage?

Can't wait to see more pics!

With something as important as a roll cage, I would research which cages have been put to the test in the real world and what the results were. Designing your own 'life saving device' could possibly go horribly wrong

Other than that - awesome project. Wish I had a spare S2000 to gut and rebuild for the track. Too many hobbies! Not enough money!

Hmmm May be interested...... I'll be selling my other toys and having another shell would be a good project.

Havent had much time to work on the car lately but did get all the gaskets/thermostat/misc parts to rebuild the water pump asssembly. Also Finished getting some other parts blacked out.....
Im still waitin for the powder coater to get
my wheels and other engine goodies done but Im sure its going to be A shocker when they are done.
