Default Road Trip time!

So on August 7th I am leaving here to venture on my way to the wonderful city of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is for part of my Honeymoon (getting married on August 5th) so I want to make sure that I plan this very well.

Has anyone from the Portland area made this road trip before? I am interested to see if there is a prefered route. Yes, I will be driving the S so packing light is going to be a must.

Is there anything I should do for the S in preperation for this trip? I am going to have a fresh oil change and of course a fresh wash+wax. Is there anything else I should do?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks,

Brandon

3M clear bra to keep from getting rock chips.

That's my two-bits.

I just want to fore-warn you. We took our S on our trip to Anaheim, we obviously went down the I-5 corridor, which you won't be, but as you get towards the border and start the climb up the moutains, it may get hot. We saw temps between 101 and 108 in the mountains. If you plan to go top down and have the boot on the top, make sure you leave room in the trunk for the boot. You WILL end up putting the top up just to keep from frying.

For planning road trips I use Microsoft Street and Trips, it gives you the locations of all the major stops along your route and it helps gauge your fuel stops also.

Also, don't let anyone follow at all costs. Even at the risk of a speeding ticket, stay far, far in front of everybody . I am still waiting to get my car back from the bodyshop following the rear-ending I recieved in CA.

Have a great time, just don't gamble so much that you have to sell your S to cover the bills!

Oh, and I think some new wheels and tires would make the trip much more enjoyable... I happen to know a guy selling some SSR's with new tires that needs some stock ap2 wheels that would give you a deal

This will be my 6th time there. I am a vegas freak! I have stayed at Rio, Excaliber, New York, MGM, Paris, Aladdin, Boardwalk, and Mandalay Bay so far.

We are going to stay at the Luxor for two nights, the Rio for two nights, and then the Wynn for two nights.

If I had the cash I would buy your wheels from you in a hurry. They are third on my list of favorite wheels on the S (BBS LM's are #1, Racing Hart C4-R's are #2).

Vintage Mac- What is the cost for the 3M clear bra???

$450 for the front bumper and rear view mirrors. Both Will and I have had a great experience at 503 Motoring in Beaverton.
