Default Rotors /Pads Feedback?

So my brakes are making noise and though i havent gotten in there to see whats going on yet, i am thinking its time i consider investing in new rotors + pads. i am considering spoon calipers or another bbk but its not in the budget right now.

im considering powerslot slotted or brembo rotors with probably hawk pads for now, and probably the spoon caliper to follow.

27xxx miles on the rotors/pad, anyone replacing them yet around this mileage?

recommendations on personal experiences? thanks!

that is low mileage to replace rotors. Pads yes if your drive hard and brake hard and often.

I am still on the pads that came on my car.

I do love the look of slotted and drilled rotors.

^ i figured i can resurface the rotors and just do a pad, but i figured if i was in there anyways i would do rotors. just was a bit surprised that at 27k i would have to change pads already.

I know Amy was over 50k on her original pads and there was life left when they were changed.

I like to get ceramic pads for my cars since they don't dust as much. That is my personal preferance.

I think that is more what it is. It hits us all sometimes.

I put 60k (80k total) on my S and I'm still on the original pads.

I have a set of OEMs in a box here that I bought because they were making noise and I thought they might need to be replaced. Once I actually looked at them though, I realized I was wrong. Someday maybe I'll use these things

They (mine) are just noisy when it's cold. During the summer, they are quiet as can be.

I agree with Aaron, I'm on the original pads at over 57K miles, they make noise when they're cold, so Marc thought they needed to be changed, but when he took them off he was surprised to find that they had a lot of life left. They don't make noise when it's warm.

One of these days you might want to look in there just to be safe. That's a lot of miles for stock pads. Sometimes when you look at the brake pads from the outside and it looks like it still has some life left on it, but the ones in the back are completely gone and you just can't see them.
