Thumbs down STONEHENGE DRIVE!

I have been watching the weather for this weekend and it looks like it is going to rain for sure this weekend

I want to get a feel for who will still be down for this drive if it is going to rain.

Please post up your feelings about this in this thread.

I am leaning towards trying to move this drive to the next weekend in hopes of better weather but I will go with the majority here The last drive was a great time even though it rained but two trips in a row with tops up is not too appealing to me.

Let me know what you guys think...

I am a go one way or the other since I didnt go on the previous drive.
So I dont have the "not another rainy drive" bug.

Doesnt it figure that it's 70-80 all week long and then *BOOM* 60 for the weekend, then Monday, 75 again.

Yeah, for us it is just supposed to be partly cloudy but for Vancouver and Goldendale it is supposed to rain and it usually always rains in the gorge when they say it is.

Like I said I will go for what the majority says

I'm sure that every forecaster has a different spin on what the forecast will be.

Here is what Intellicast says for the Portland vicinity for Saturday: "Occasional showers possible. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the upper 40s."

Portland Forecast: Here

The Intellicast forecast for Goldendale is: "Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 30s."

Goldendale Forecast: Here

Generally once you get an hour up the gorge the weather is nicer (no rain) than the Portland area. It looks like it will just be partly cloudy for where you are going.

News (Channel 8) is now saying sprinkes in the morning then partly cloudy in the afternoon... If that is true I am still in... the thing is they never really know... it could not rain at all at this point or it could be a deluge... If it is raining here it's going to be pouring till we get past hood river. I hate the rain

I set aside the next weekend also due to the typical "when something is planned" weather is around here... of course we all know how Memorial Day Weekend usually turns out also - rain Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then Monday until 4 pm

Did I say I hate the rain

5 peeps from seattle have already booked the room so uh... we're in!

Also, raining in eastern washington is different than raining in western washington. It will be short lived, the sun WILL be out and it WILL be warm enough to the top down.

Google says it's going to be sunny and in ther upper 70's in the western part of washington. woot!

I am in! I just posted in the other Stonehenge thread that Weather.com has showers in the AM for PDX/Couv, but Maryhill Wa has no mention of rain and a high of 71.
