Default Storage facility idea

I am curious if any of you use a storage facility to park your S. We moved into a 2 car garage home and while my S gets a garage spot, I am experiencing some scratches and dents from the kids trying to move their bikes etc. in the garage (most actions are not on purpose) and my blood pressure is on a rise. I have worked hard to keep the car in great shape for 7 years now and it hurts bad ..... since I am too poor to do body work on the car .... OK, breathe ....123.....

I am considering parking the S somewhere near my home and just parking my wife and my daily drivers in the garage. I live in Bethany area, so any local recommendations are very welcome.

Thanks,

Abhi

Car cover? I think Huy was using the Honda S2000 car cover and a generic car cover over that. As far as I know they're padded and do a good job of protecting against brushing against the car and direct bumps too.

I think if you park it "off site" you'll be less likely to drive it, and driving it is the whole point of owning it.

I agree about the car cover, I use it also, but since I drive any chance I get, the car is dirty some of the time.

Take a look at this .......

I bicycled past a garage with a Corvette on top of a Corvette many years ago.

The curtain hanging from the ceiling seems like a bit much for our cars. Seriously, it's a car, not a family member.

I live in the same problem. My kids scratch up all my cars somehow. The car cover would work perfectly.

DAMN!!! I LOVE that lift. My garage would be high enough for me to use that and be able to park my Fit under it but my garage door would be in the way

You could always just move the kids to an offsite storage location

How much are you trying to spend per month? Look on craigslist there are good deals on personal garages and storage units alike all over town.

Yes, that was me, Hiep.

You can usually recognize my car by the black front lip.

Also, it is not a question of "its only a Honda", it is my "toy" and great stress relief appliance . I am grateful to be able to satisfy all family priorities first and then maintain the S at the same time (as you can read here, many people sell the S after they have kids ...), and I like the fact that it is the closest I can come to a motorbike (but much safer) and still be so reliable so I can maintain it easily. I just want to keep it as clean as possible (not add unnecessary scratches/dent, and I am not mentioning the regular wear and tear issues that come with driving the car).
