Default Track Day Thread

Whether it's built for Starbucks or the track, let's get some S2K's out there this year!

First TNiA is this Friday - usually a traffic jam but a cheap easy way to get from the parking lot to the track. I'll be out there to get some baselines in the new S and see how bad the Conti's are, but most importantly to hit some consistent VTEC yo!

BMW day coming up after...

Anyone interested in ORP this year?

Perhaps we can get a local company "cough* *cough* RENEGADE to have a little booth to encourage some others to come out???

I need to get a new set of R compounds before going out again. I've tried the new starspecs tires and they just don't cut it at the track. I'm shooting for maybe the June or August events with the BMW club.

Looks like it's going to be a wet one out there, enjoy!

What Conti's do you have?

The new Z3's? Good to hear as I almost purchased a set!

Are you interested in ORP or the Ridge? PIR is nice and close but it's so boring lol

The extreme summer DW (not DWS). They came on the wheels and are basically brand new so wearing them down a bit, although I'll go out tomorrow and come home and purchase the RE's or similar

There isn't a ZIII star spec out yet, so my guess is he means ZII.

In the wet those contis will be about as good as the RE, better if there is standing water.

We are bringing our new chumpcar out to the track night tonight, so I will be there. Haven't decided if I actually want to run the event in my car though.

I've got the zii but they get greasy after a few runs in.

Yeah I noticed that as well - I vaguely recall we were talking about that last year or the year before at the track. They were great, then just went off all of a sudden.

Well that was quite an eventful TNiA.

Lotus Elise wrecked on the back straight in the first session, numerous spins including a stationary FRS in turn 8 backwards, only 10 min sessions, passing under caution - not the best event!

Nice seeing some fellow S2000's out there though Perhaps we can get together a bit more at the track and discuss things
