Here is the proposed plan.
Saturday August 9.
Meet in the Albertons parking lot on the corner of 185th and Farmington Aloha (6055 SW 185th Ave, Aloha, OR 97007-4551) and leave at 10:30am. Head south to Grand Ronde to enjoy some time at Spirit Mountain Casio.
We should arive about noon, just intime to enjoy the buffet for lunch. The buffet has something for everyone. - price for lunch is $11.95.

We will spend a couple of hours donating some money to the "Native American Fund" (Gambling).
After the gambling we will head out, Paul has helped find some roads neither of us have been on before on our way to Tillamook to visit the Tillamook cheese factory for a tour, and some ice cream, yum! yum! yum!
From here we will head down to Cape Lookout for some fun in the sun on the beach, throwing the football, etc. We will strike up a fire and roast some dogs for dinner, followed by some Smores. \
After sunset we will start our way back home via hwy 6 to hwy 26. This has been changed due to unknow condition of the previously suggested roads back.
The total drive will cover about 200 miles and take about 5 hours of driving time from Beaverton to Beaverton.

Um...Garret...
When?

I may be in depending on the date. Next two months are going to be absolutely nuts for me.
*edit* Looking at the map, maybe a re-route on Hwy 6 would be in order instead of backtracking from Tillamook?
I have no idea what the road is like so I'm just guessing. Looks pretty fun on the map though

thanks for calling out the missing date. I did this today at work and had almost 500 recall messages when I fixed it and sent it back out.
We talked about 6 also, but wondered about the other road that does look really fun on the map.

I may be up for it, not sure yet what next Saturday looks like. It's the weekend of the Special Kids Rodeo, which is Friday, but we have lots of kids coming in town, so I may spend Saturday with them also. Let me figure it out in the next couple of days.
I'm not much of a gambler, but I do like watching other people give their money away.

Its actually a lot more fun to just drive into the casino parking lot and start throwing dollar bills out the window.
It pretty much accomplishes the same thing as gambling it away, but you get a lot more attention!

I would LOVE to play some Blackjack. We'll see what kind of funds are available. For us it might just be a trip to the cheese factory
You anti-gamblers just don't understand. Compare it to taking your car to the track, or going to a pro sports game, or attending stage theater. Gambling is just expensive entertainment, like all those others. Set a limit and when you're done, you're done!

I wouldn't mind going on this as well, I will double check my calender to make sure. I think I was at least going to wash/wax my car for the drive on the 16th.
I'd have to set a low gambling limit for myself though.. Lets just say I'm not proud of my younger days when I gambled away pretty much a Mugen Hardtop in one night at Vegas..
