Shopping pretty much sucks... stop in Seattle on the way to shop!!
If you like cars, check out Grand Prix Imports, it's south of portland off I5, not too far... they have some really neat cars there, last weekend I saw an F40, F360, F355, Aston Vantage, 2 Spyker C8's, 5 or more Panoz (including one full race car)... porsches etc etc. http://www.gpimports.com/
Points of interest in Portland I've always found to be the natural surroundings... the Gorge is an excellent drive, Mt hood has some activities... but as far as the city, no real astounding architecture... tons of restaurants to choose from... OMSI (oregon museum of science and industry) might be fun... but it might not... I haven't been there since I was 6 lol I'm curious to see what others post as points of interest!!
It would be great to meet you at Old Spaghetti Factory!!!!

The Bridgeport shopping center south of town just of I-5 (Tualatin exit, I think) is large and upscale.
If you are looking for interesting things, the Saturday Market (located under the Burnside Bridge) is always good.
Remember, no sales tax in Oregon!
Hope to see you at the meet.
