Default Dinner menus

We are doing dinner for 15, and they are bringing some dishes. I am making the turkey, green beans, mashed sweet potatoes and dressing...I don't know what is on the menu besides a seasoned mashed potatoe dish and a New Orleans style bread-pudding for which I will prepare a Bourbon cream sauce. What is everyone else doing and how are they doing?

My mom did the usual: a scrumptious veggie tray to munch on during the day, her famed sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, her traditional stuffing of bread, celery and whatever else she puts in it , her cornbread stuffing (cornbread, italian sausage, apple, & onion), home made mac n cheese , a honey baked ham, rolls, and then pumpkin pie and assorted cheesecakes for dessert. And I may have even missed a few items. I can't remember.

Everything was home made, including the gravy except dessert.

Starters included marinated shrimp and apple wedges with cheese and nuts. I roasted a turkey with a cranberry sherry glaze and stuffed with apples, lemon and thyme. The glaze gave the turkey a deep red hue. I made bourban mashed sweet pototoes and a dressing with sausage and rice. We had sauteed fresh green beans with baby carrots, and friends brought over a mashed potatoes which was sort of like a twice baked potato with bacon and New Orleans style bread pudding.

I'm not sure the head count but probably 20-25 if you include the kids table. Several cooks in the kitchen yielded:

Roast turkey with rosemary
Honey Baked Ham
Roast venison loin with onions
Cornbread dressing
Turnips & greens with ham
Southern style green beans
Black eyed peas + field peas + butter beans
Squash
Corn casserole
Green bean casserole
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Sweet potato souffle with pecan topping
Pumpkin pie
Apple pie
Sweet potato pie
Cornbread
Homemade biscuits

and of course...sweet ice tea.

Can you say YEEEEHAWWW!
