Default I am tired

I am beat today with the change in time. I raced yesterday. This morning, my dog and I got up early and cleaned the tires and wheels and washed the S twice, two times with Maguire's Gold. Then I used the good old clay bar, then the paint cleaner, then the polish and then a coat of Carnuba. I gave the interior the once over. I prepped and touched up few minor chips. I am going to let the paint set and then apply another coat of touch up paint tomorrow. The job looks pretty good. By Tuesday, I hope to be ready to use the buffer on the chips. I started at 7:30 and just finished at 5:30. I also got in a long run, church and a Bible class.

Come on by. I love washing cars. The morning is great because the Starbuck's is freshly ground and brewed. I will make a point to have some bagels and cream cheese. Do you like salmon and chopped hard-boiled eggs with capers and red onion?

The dog loves it too. Washing cars and playing ball are her favorite pass times. I have to check what I'm doing this coming weekend, but if I'm open I had planned to do pretty much the same thing on Nancy's Pilot. That's a real work out and an all day affair. I cleaned and conditioned the leather about 2 weeks ago along with a carpet shampoo, but it is still time consuming to clean the exterior.

I just have to get a long bike ride in this coming weekend and an intermediate distance run. So let me know if you are really interested. We could have an S2000 wash day. Just don't punch the throttle coming into the neigborhood early in the morning.

I experimented today with a new washing technique. I have two buckets which isn't new, but instead of washing with Microfibers which is my usual practice, I used a sheepskin glove. I really like it better than the Microfibers because it feels like there is a greater level of lubication between the surface of the paint and the sheepskin versus the Microfibers.

It only takes about 10 minutes to wash the car, and then I rewash it. 2 gallons of water and 8 oz of detergent is the perfect mixture to double wash an S.

If you are interested, let me know. I have most everything, but you should bring a clay bar kit. I have a lot of Microfibers, but you might need to bring more. I nly one sheepskin

I did the same routine with the Spanish Navigator's Pilot. I started at 9:00 a.m. and I'm still not finished with the interior shampoo and leather cleaning...and it's 9:30 p.m.
